5 Days Great Rift Valley

The safari affords you the chance to visit Kenya’s top safari destinations situated in the Great Rift Valley.

Day 01: Nairobi – L. Nakuru National Park
Depart Nairobi after breakfast for your Great Rift Valley safari adventure. A short break at the escarpment ViewPoint will give you chance for a spectacular view of the Great Rift Valley and marvel at the works of volcanic activities. Continue to L. Nakuru National Park, regarded by avid birders’ as the greatest World ornithological spectacle on the Earth. The Park is famous for its millions of pink flamingos lining on the lake shore. The Park is also a home to the Black Rhino, White Rhino, and the Rothschild Giraffe. Birdlife includes common species like the lesser and Greater Flamingos, African Fish Eagle, Tawny Eagle, Green Wood Hoopoes, Cliff Chat, Great White and Pink-Backed Pelicans and many more.

Lunch is served in the camp/lodge as you proceed for an afternoon game drive in this park that has a dense population of other wildlife before returning back to the campsite for dinner.

Day 02: Lake Nakuru – L. Bogoria – L. Naivasha
Depart Lake Nakuru and proceed north to the spectacular L. Bogoria where the hot springs and the geysers are the main attractions. The hot springs are hot enough to boil an egg. The lake has been called the “new home of the flamingo” with a nomad population of up to 2 million birds that migrate from L. Nakuru National Park, making it one of the major attractions. Lunch is served at the L. Bogoria Spa Resort and later an afternoon game drive in the reserve as you depart the Reserve.

Drive to Lake Naivasha and stay in the campsite arriving in the early evening.

Day 03: Lake Naivasha –  Masai Mara
Plenty of opportunities to finally spot the amazing ‘Big 5’, or from June to September witness the miracle of nature – Wildebeest Migration.

Depart L. Naivasha after breakfast and travel on the floor of Rift-Valley and head to Masai Mara, the home to the great new 8th Wonder of the World.

Arrive in time for lunch in the camp. A late evening game drive from 4 pm to 6 pm will give you the introduction to the game drive. Early evening dinner arranged under the African bushes and skies in the camp.

Day 04: Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, proceed for a full day game viewing in the game reserve, with picnic lunch at the Mara Riverbank. Return to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 05: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Depending on your safari program, start your day with a complete English breakfast at the camp and depart Masai Mara arriving in Nairobi by 5 pm. where the tour ends.

A transfer to airport for your flight back home can be arranged at additional cost.
